The purpose of this big headed flange nut is to provide more support for installing a sling swivel stud in thin walled synthetic or plastic rifle forends. Your Harris Bipod attaches to the forend using the sling swivel stud. The #2 Flange Adaptor gives a nice flat backer for installing your swivel in a forend when the inside backing surface is flat. The flange measures 1-3/8 x 5/8 inch. The shank of the stud is 5/16 inch in diameter and screws into the flange via a 10-32 threaded hole. Stud and Washer are included.
