T/C Contender G2 Locking Bolt Set (2-Piece)

The dimensions are quite different from a T/C set, using these to replace the 1 pc set that came on a new to me never used Virgin Valley .204 barrel that would not lock up. I had to stone to fit and removed and shaped it to fit like al my other barrels ( not first time). I was surprised with the ridge on the shank but didn't effect use, maybe lower friction surface. All in all with the normal fit until it works correctly done this .204 Ruger barrel is now usable and explains why it was in perfect shape! Living in NH sure miss the custom shop of T/C and the local knowledge.

Works perfectly to replace old style single piece locking bolt that was very difficult to open. Tight lockup, easy opening.

Was simple to install- lock up is very good with no fitting required.

The new locking bolt enabled me to be able to cock the Thompson Contender. Additionally, I changed the pivot bolt to an oversized version. The combination of these two updates fixed my Contender.

I ended up polishing the surfaces for smother operation. It is my opinion that the single piece locking bolt with the rolling pin was easier to operate. Closing the breach, this unit provides a nice solid click with no movement. Fits well, was just a little harder to operate the release. When necessary I would purchase again. This was my first replacement.

Replaced 3 one with this one which worked after a slight adjustment. Good service and good product.

Quick shipping and easy installation. Installed in two barrels one difficult to open and other nonusable as it just would not open. Frame was early easy opening model. Problem solved! Great product.

the lock bolts I purchased for TC contender saved my barrels. I have a very early Contender and my newer barrels would not work with it but with the bolts sent to me I could fit them to my frame.they also came very soon.

Good quality item. Enabled original contender barrel to correctly lock up to new G2 frame. Downside... it’s EXPENSIVE.

Drove out the retaining pin, pulled out the old locking bolt set, pushed in the new bolt set, and replaced the retaining pin. Done.

Very expensive, but worked. Put on older bbl & new G2 frame. Next time I'll try stoning down old locking lugs, before buying again.
