219 Donaldson Wasp Brass (50 pcs)
Custom, fully formed reloading brass for 219 Donaldson Wasp fits Model 97D Rifles and other guns chambered for the EABCO 219 Donaldson Wasp cartridge (long version). This is "wildcat" brass, formed from virgin (unfired) 30-30 brass using our secret process that results in a fully formed shoulder and full case capacity. The headstamp still reads 30-30 but this brass is only to be used in 219 Donaldson Wasp chambers. Load this brass with Redding 219 Donaldson Wasp dies.

They work
Received my brass intact, 50 per bag, no dings or dents. Fit my chamber. I did have to clean up the burrs on the case mouths (not done after final trim and shipping) All in all I would recommend the purchase of this brass

This is good brass, easy to fireform. I have gotten 5 reloads on the same 20 pieces of brass before I had any issues. I found two cases with split necks that I had to reject. I then annealed the necks on the remaining lot and continued to reload. I am loading for a Thompson G2 carbine with a 23" MGM barrel. My load data: 50 grain Sierra SMP bullets over 28 grains of Varget powder...average speed 3150fps.

The formed 219 Brass I purchased is just fine. I am having to work through some other issues as you typically do with a wildcat. I had to re-run it thru a form die then back thru the full length. Not that it was an issue, but the Wasp does have different rim diameters manly due to the action and the gunsmith that chambered it. Might consider having a chamber cast done.

Right out of the bag
I purchased two bags of .219 Donaldson Wasp formed brass and a rifle to go with it. I only had one case that I could not use. It had a split creased neck. My cases were formed from Hornady 30/30 brass. The necks are thick, as you would expect from a much larger caliber, 14 thousands. After firing in my 97D chamber, bullets would not push into the case mouth by hand. I have expanded, yes expanded fired cases and then seated with a Wilson die and shot a second time. This is a tight chamber drill known to benchrest shooters. If you want a less tight case, you will need to neck turn.
