ADTAC Take-Down 10/22 Rifle Stock by TacStar | Adaptive Tactical
This stock adds portability and convenience to our popular RM4 stock. This lightweight, compact stock was developed to fit perfectly with the factory Ruger Takedown 10/22 rifle. Patented Stowaway™ accessory rail is concealed in the forend. When reversed, the rail is available for flashlight, bi-pod or other accessories. Get custom length-of-pull for proper fit and improved performance with the adjustable M4 type butt-stock, equipped with ambidextrous storage compartments for two spare Ruger rotary magazines. (Magazines not included.)
- NOTE - Forend fits standard contour barrels. Does not fit .920 bull barrels.

*Legends color has been discontinued.

Fore end is tapered for a standard barrel, will not fit a .920 bull barrel. Buttstock rattles and makes noise. Like the magazine storage in the butt.

Take down 10/22 stock
Stock fit perfect! Well built and is great for kids who can't shoulder the standard stock.

Since the 10/22 take down came out I have wanted to play with one. However I have an above average length of pull and went looking for an easy fix for the problem. There appears to be few stocks available for the TD, other than the “barracuda”, or space invaders style so an adjustable stock was the quickest answer, and the mag storage a bonus feature. I DO RECOMMEND IT. Overall the stock is functional, well engineered and well built for most applications. Unfortunately, it was not for mine. The lack of support around the action screw became a problem when I attached a Surefire suppressor causing the rear of the action to lift and rock in the stock. Bedding of the front and rear of the action, fitting a steel shim through which the action screw passes, and an escutcheon in to the plastic corrected the matter. With a little modification a Kidd trigger dropped in. Anyone with a full face could have problems with the use of iron sights. I could not get a satisfactory stock weld with a Leupold Delta Point, but low rings and a 2-7 x 33 scope was perfect. Bolt modified and pinned and experimentation done I now have one more 10/22 with excessive owner diddling.

I purchased the Legends camo stock. The stock installed nice and snug with no issues. Camo looks great in the field and at the range. Adjustable stock is BIG plus with 2 mag storage, and now the grandson can shoot comfortably. Also bought the adjustable grip insert, great setup with bipod at the range. With forend reversed with rail mount exposed, laser or flashlight, are level with the barrel and bipod attaches easily. This is the best stock for the TakeDown- tactical fell, adjustable stock, readily available loaded mags, and fits in your bug-out bag with accessories. Although, with a UTG Bugbuster 3x9x32 scope attached, the Tac-Star grip adjustable extender must be removable to fit into the backpack case. No big deal, don't install the screw. Also, this stock is not as light in weight as they say, about 3lbs, plus 2 loaded mags. Minor issues compared to the benefits of a durable, well built, functional. and probably last stock you will ever buy for your SHTF bug-out 10/22 TakeDown. I highly recommend, and I have looked at ALL TakeDown stocks. It may cost a little more, but quality is what you pay for.

Very easy to install, just make sure you have T8 bit for the top of the forend. Love the adjustable stock and mag storage feature. Stock comb is a little high for iron sight use, but is perfect for use with a scope. Would have given it a 5 star rating but the comb hight makes it difficult for me to use my peep sights without having to extend the stock all the way out.
