10/22 Trigger Systems

The importance of a good trigger cannot be over emphasized.

Shooting for your best accuracy absolutely REQUIRES a good trigger. Why? Because a bad trigger will cause you to move the gun, jerk the gun, or flinch the gun when you're trying to concentrate on aiming.
Key factors for a good trigger:
1. Weight of Pull - The heavier it is, the more muscles you will flex in your hand and arm...  Light weight is best.
2. Take Up ("creep") - The further you have to move the trigger, the more you are likely to move your rifle or tension your hold. Short take up is best.
3. Over-Travel - This is movement of the trigger AFTER the rifle fires. Accuracy requires the rifle to follow thru just like an athlete shooting a basketball. If your trigger continues to move after the shot, it can move or tension the rifle as the bullet is exiting the muzzle. Minimal over-travel is best.
