Volquartsen Mk III Accurizing Kit
Complete drop-in kit for the Ruger MKIII and also MKIII 22/45 to provide a crisp, clean 2.25lb trigger pull (pull may vary slightly due to factory frame variances). The kit includes an extended bolt release (extended bolt release is not used when installing in a 22/45), target hammer, target sear, target trigger with over travel screw, return trigger plunger spring and polished plunger. No stoning required. Final trigger pull may vary slightly due to factory frame variances. Available in black or stainless finish.
NOTE: This kit does NOT include a hammer bushing. If you want to eliminate the Mk III magazine disconnect feature, you need to order the MK II Accurizing Kit instead. The Mk II kit includes the Mk II hammer bushing and target hammer. These parts allow you to remove the Mk III magazine disconnect lever and spring.

Be sure to visit our Volquartsen Home Page.

Mr.
The Volquartsen made a major improvement in my Mk III 22/45 trigger pull. I have not tried to measure it, but it is a vast improvement over the original trigger. I didn't buy this pistol as a target pistol, but it sure has the trigger for it now. A lot more fun for plinking.

Put this in a Ruger Mark II Competition Target pistol, brought the trigger pull down from nearly 4 lbs down to 2 lbs 5 oz. Using this firearm for shooting Silhouette, My son's scores went up from an average of 24/40 to 30/40. Nice crisp trigger, no creep, just slightly over the 2 lb minimum. In my opinion, the longer the shot, the more critical a crisp light trigger pull.

So far I have loved it, I put a Burris III on my Ruger Mark III with the trigger and at 35 yds. I can put every shot within the size of a quarter. I am looking forward to small game hunting with it.

Great modification to my Ruger MKIII 22/45. I use this pistol for my CC Class, and it's great to show the students the difference in ( trigger pull lbs.) when demonstrating the importance of proper trigger control. Take your time when installing, pay care full attention to video and you shouldn't have any problems.

No regrets
This trigger is amazing! I just tried it out today and it had exceeded my expectations. It took me a while to put it in since it was my first on a Ruger 22/45 but once you get familiar with the internals of the gun it's really not that hard. Would not hesitate to do it again. Money well spent!

Great overall
Love this kit, it makes such a great improvement that its almost pointless to own a Ruger mk without this kit installed. That's how much it improves the ability to shoot well. My only gripe is that I wish the MK II hammer bushing came with the kit. If you are buying this for a MK III, then buy the bushing. MK II's already have it stock.

The kit really upped the game on the trigger pull. It was as different as night and day from the original to the new trigger pull. The over travel screw is good.

Great kit
Recently installed this on a Ruger Lite. Please be aware that when watching the install videos that there are just a few differences between what you install on a Lite and the MKIII in the video. I would recommend picking up a bushing kit so you don't have to reinstall the factory bushing with mag disconnect. If you have a pair of forceps the install goes very quick, otherwise you may fumble a bit with the sear reinstallation.

Mr
the descriptions in the MkII vs MkIII accurizing kit are unclear as to the purpose of the MKII hammer bushing which is not part of the MKIII kit. You don't want this kit you want the MkII. The bushing fills the magazine disconnector which you don't want to re-install. this video gives clear installation instructions and explains the MKII bushing situation. 3 stars because I now have to buy the bushing and could have had it for the same price in the MKII kit.

Mr.
I bought a new MkIII and the trigger was just way to heavy and "gritty". I don't know what the original trigger pull was, but now it's just a hair over 2lbs with the Volquartsen Accurizing Kit, which is a VAST improvement. The extended bolt release is a little TOO extended, and feels a bit too flexible, but I'm still saying 5 stars because the trigger itsself is so much better than OEM. Oh yeah; EA Brown is just a little cheaper than anywhere else I found online.

Great Kit for the Ruger Mark III
I highly recommend this kit. Be sure to review the installation videos on YouTube a number of times before you do the installation. I added in the Tandemkross hammer bushing at the same time, which made the installation even easier. The trigger is smooth and light. A great addition to my Mark III. By the way, this is the first time I've done anything like this on a gun, but I do have this type of mechanical installation experience.

Volquartsen 22/45 Accurizing Kit
Kit was easy to install and lightened the trigger dramatically. It doesn't break as crisp as I was expecting, but definitely worth installing.
