JP Howitzer Muzzle Brake Installed Price Black
The JP Howitzer Muzzle Brake is radical looking but is honestly the most effective muzzle brake we've ever seen. We say it reduces recoil up to 100% because in most cases a gun equipped with the JP Brake just stands still during recoil. The double baffle surface area of the JP captures forward moving gases to actually pull the gun forward. This counteracts the rearward motion of recoil or kick. Certainly it converts the heavy kicking magnums into joyful, down range projectors of power! And being able to watch the hits and misses when you're prairie dog shooting, is not only fun but a good marksmanship aid. Pictured above is a Blue JP Brake. We also have it in stainless. The JP Howitzer Brake can be installed on muzzle diameters from .530 up to 1.00" and adds approx. 1 3/4" to the overall length of your rifle. Or, we can shorten your barrel if you don't want to add any length... That's your choice and it's included in the price.
Remember, this price includes our Precision Installation Process. See all of our muzzle brakes plus an explanation of our installation on our Muzzle Brake Home Page. There's a new JP Brake Shooting Video posted there as well. (Note: Photos above by John Batiste... Thanks John!)
Please use our handy Work Order Form when sending your firearm or barrel to us. Allow approx. 6-8 weeks for installation.

*Please Note: Different guns and different cartridges recoil differently. The designer of the JP Brake used to demonstrate it at  shooting ranges by placing the butt of a 30-06 rifle on his nose and firing the JP equipped rifle down range (don't try this yourself). We once built a 15" Encore in 300 Win Mag with a JP Brake installed and the customer used it to shoot 80 round silhouette matches from the one-handed Creedmoor shooting position. In fact with the JP Brake installed, "Most" centerfire rifles will almost stand still when fired. However, some particularly vicious recoiling rifles (such as pencil barreled WSMs) will still have some recoil. How much will be relative to the cartridge, rifle, and shooter's sensitivity. As stated above the JP Brake will give "Up To" 100% recoil reduction and without a doubt it is the most effective muzzle brake.

Mr.
Had the JP Howitzer muzzle brake. installed on my .445 super mag. contender. It did exactly what I had hoped for. Very comfortable for a 74 old man to shoot free hand. After reinstalling scope, a 6 inch target was hit at 70 yards. I could not be any happier with E.A. Brown or the expertise that went into this barrel. I will be able to spend more time at the range without discomfort.

Mr.
Had the JP brake installed on a classic Winchester model 670. Prior to the installation recoil was legendary. After installation everyone in the family loves shooting the gun...including the ladies. I couldn't be more impressed with the installation and support from EABCO. It looks factory and it works better than you can imagine.

Installed on .308
Installed on a .308 that was having issues with muzzle rise and strong recoil. This brake was just what the doctor ordered. Since installed no more muzzle rise and about half of the felt recoil gone, which as made the rifle excellent to shoot again. Was able to achieve a better average on groups. The noise level did rise but that is going to happen with all muzzle brakes. No complaints at all.

follow up
Just a quick note to thank you for the wonderful experience of working with your dedicated team. I had muzzle breaks installed on two rifles and a Timney trigger on one of the Ultra Mags. One of the gentlemen from the machine shop took the time to meet with me and explain the installation process clearly and succinctly. He said it would take about two weeks and he was spot on. Additionally, I can't say enough about the talented and friendly ladies in the front office. They serve as the first face of your business to the customer, and I can tell you they do a great job. Thank you for the great quality and customer service - I look forward to doing business with you again!

I can't say enough about this item. It dose what they say it will. My new Pro Hunter whit the JP Howitzer Brake Installed reduced the felt recoil to that of a gas gun in the same caliber. I highly recommend it.
