E. R. Shaw Savage Barrels - 24" Factory Contour (F) available in Blue or Stainless finish. Includes:

  • barrel muzzle diameter approximately .570"
  • headspace gauges
  • barrel nut wrench
  • bore paste oil for break-in and cleaning

These excellent quality replacement barrels are threaded to fit the Savage Short Action 10, 11, 12, 14, 16 and Long Action 110, 111, 112, 114, 116 series bolt action center fire rifles including the Stevens 200 of identical pattern. These barrels will NOT fit WSMs nor Target actions. For Edge/Axis barrel fitting info, please scroll down.

Barrel Contours - Available in F-Factory, M-Magnum, and V-Varmint barrel contours. For more on the contour dimensions and fitting your new barrel to your existing bolt face, visit our ER Shaw page.

Edge/Axis Fitting Information - Original Savage "Edge" Rifles were renamed "Axis". Receiver barrel threads on these rifles are sometimes a little too small to fit 10/110 barrel. E. R. Shaw has dimensioned the threads on their 10/110 barrels so that they will fit Savage Edge/Axis receivers. However, you should remember Edge/Axis is otherwise a different receiver than the 10/110 series... It will not fit the same stocks for example.

Stainless barrel for Savage 111 in 30.06
Nice barrel. Shoots well. A challenge to get it torqued to specs.

The new barrel worked perfect. I pulled the old barrel off of a garage sale junker and had the new barrel on in short time. Got the rifle all trained up the next day and it's a better shooter than I am. Easy swap out, you do need a barrel vise ( I used my hydraulic press) and a couple of myrtlewood blocks drilled out and split in half. A very easy swap out. LJJ

Great barrel
I had a stock barrel on a Savage model 110e. Could not get the accuracy I expected. I replaced the barrel with this barrel. I now achieve 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards and 1/2 inch groups at 200 yards. I am very happy with this barrel and recommend it to everyone. I am a gun smith and have replaced stock barrels with E. R. SHAW barrels and all my customers achieved better accuracy.

Great barrel, and easy on the wallet
I recently got a chance to shoot my rifle after having the barrel threaded, and installed. All I can say, is that it is a shooter. I didn't take the time to break it it properly, and am getting .5moa at 100yds with my reloads. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another ER Shaw barrel in the future.

Good replacement for factory sporter
I bought this to replace a sporter contour in .308 that didn't shoot all that great. Ended up shooting 1" at 200 with off the shelf 150 grain Remington. Can't wait to see what it will do with better ammo. Bluing seems to scratch easily, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another for the price.

I've used E.R. Shaw barrels before and have had good results with them. On this particular barrel, however, it didn't live up to my expectations at first. It was printing 2-3" groups at 100 yards with match-grade ammunition. It is a new barrel, after all, and requires a break-in period. I bore-scoped it and there is excessive chattering down the bore as a result of a dull or damaged rifling button that was used to make the lands and groves. Upon closer inspection of the muzzle these chattering marks can be seen with the naked eye just inside of the muzzle. This is not something that QC will detect, even through air gauging, so I'm not surprised that it wasn't found. After having had the opportunity to shoot this barrel the groups are starting to shrink, but nothing spectacular. It's not a match grade barrel, but I was expecting a little more out of it. It's still minute-of-deer accurate.

I was skeptical about how accuracy would be with this barrel when I first bought it, but after the break in process I find its accuracy superb. I am able to shoot an 1/8" 3 shot group at 108 yards with my 223 now. Gotta love those ragged holes.

The barrel was very easy to install. Head spacing with the supplied go-no go gauges was simple and accurate. I have only shot a few factory rounds so far and accuracy was ok. I will be hand loading and hope I can find a better load.
